Chased by a hairy giant along the verde river

In 2003 I heard an account on Coast To Coast of two men riding offroad along the Verde river on the Ft. McDowell indian reservation which is a  known  hotspot for Bigfoot sightings. It started to get late when one of the men went to relieve himself before heading back onto the main road when he stated that all of a sudden a feeling of dread took over him and his riding companion. As they were pulling out they stated that a "huge hairy creature" came out of nowhere and started chasing their off-road vehicles. What struck the men as the oddest part of the entire encounter was how the being ran over the sand as if it weren't there. It had almost a gliding motion to it. I also spoke to an Apache local that knows a woman on the Fort McDowell reservation close to this spot along the river that feeds it and that it glides thru the trees as if the trees werent even there. Being summer and the rattlers down by the river we were not able to make it out to do a night investigation and he moved away shortly afterwards. Location is approximate
